A 3 night, 4 day experiential program at Tipi Camp and a year-long commitment to mentorship designed to support the boys to:
- build meaningful relationships
- gain clarity in the direction of their life
- discover their authentic self and unique gifts
- deepen their connection with nature

"In many tribal cultures, it is said that if the boys were not initiated into manhood, if they were not shaped by the skills and love of elders, then they would destroy the
culture. If the fires that innately burn inside youths are not intentionally and lovingly added to the hearth of community, they will burn down the structures of culture, just to feel the warmth." ~ Michael Meade

"The purpose of life is to find your gift, the goal of life is to give it away" - Picasso

Recognizing that Western culture fails to initiate boys into healthy adulthood, this mentorship program facilitates vital experiences to guide the men of tomorrow to discover their authentic gifts, create a strong vision for their future, and fully engage in their lives through meaningful service and effective action.

"When we talk about rites of passage we mean a time when we recognize and see young people for the beauty they bring into the world.  The rite is to get them to wake up to their own dream, their own story." Luis J. Rodriguez

Boys can expect hiking, canoeing, games, storytelling, myth, music, amazing food, swimming, cliff jumping, solo time in nature, journaling, awareness practices, bird language, primitive skills, council and mentorship from an incredible team of male mentors.  They may not want to leave!

The program includes a year of follow-up mentorship with a potluck, group activity and talking circle in Fall, Winter and Spring.

"The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature" - Joseph Campbell

This is the phase of life in which most contemporary people get stuck — and the phase in which most need the greatest support. Adolescence holds the key to our becoming fully human.

Healthy men are made through mentorship

We have 3 simple values we hold close to our heart

Nature is the ultimate teacher

We look to our external and internal environments for inspiration, wisdom, and guidance. Finding our place in nature is both fun and healthy.

Growth requires discomfort, not pain

Balancing healthy risk with safety is where this work shines. Finding and knowing our personal edges is empowering.

Integration brings it home

Ongoing support and engagement creates lasting change in us and in our communities. The real work happens everyday.

We build compassionate, inspired and resilient young men through nature-based rites of passage, ongoing mentorship, and community engagement.
